Hello,
When I install Web Services, I have been using the SQL Authorization store by default. A recent post on the GP support blog is stating that Active Directory authorization store is now the recommended method, in order to be compatible with TLS 1.2. https://community.dynamics.com/gp/b/dynamicsgp/posts/microsoft-dynamics-gp-upgrade---upgrading-microsoft-dynamics-web-services I have a couple of questions in regards to this:
Thank you!
Kayla
Actually, we've seen where having TLS 1.0 disabled on the server that Web Services is installed onto, not only affects the installation, but will cause the Web Services not to function correctly, i.e. when you go into the Dynamics Security Console, it doesn't fully work, even though the endpoint URLs may still render in the browser window.
Thus, in the new GP 18.3 Fall 2020 release, Web Services has been changed as per the blog you mentioned where Active Directory for the authorization store is now the recommendation.
Thanks
