Resolving 'Broken' contact records in CRM online trial

Hi, I've set-up a free 30-day trial for the Enterprise Plan but I've already wasted 15 days getting the correct 'security role' access set-up.

Today, I successfully imported data from multiple files (approx 3k records) before viewing & amending the 1st record. As a result, I decided to amend the 'contact form' and added, deleted (and saved!) a couple of 'fields'.

As a result I can no longer access/view any contact info - including the sample data supplied (having tried in multiple ways, many times). If it helps I was working in 'marketing lists' prior to creating the problem... and I sent electronic 'report' to MS.

Any ideas of how I can resolve or go back a step or 2?  Also any ideas on how I can get the trial extended?

Huge thanks, Bethan

    Thanks Drew,

Microsoft have kindly extended the trial and I'm now waiting for a call back from the specialist CRM support team to see if they can help me 'reset' the system (as I think I 'broke' it after importing my own data by choosing to 'export the 'sample data' instead of simply deleting/removing it!)

I'll try to read the 'help' before I take action in the future :)

If I manage to 'fix' it without a reset I'll let you know.

    Hi Bethan,

I have never had this type of issue so not quite sure yet.  Couple / few things:

    1.  Have you tried to open up the form with another supported configuration (i.e. Chrome on Windows)?  Just to verify this is not a browser issue?

    2.  When you say you amended the contact form, which form was this?  Was it the quick create form or the Contact main form?  Did you just remove the fields from the form?

    3.  Next thing I would try is to go into the forms for the contact and select the "Form Order" and then select the "Main Form Set" and change the Information form to be the primary. This should allow the Contact to show again with that form.  You can then try changing the form when viewing the information form to the Contact main form and see if you get the error again.

As far as extending the trial, I have been able to do this in the past but we are a Microsoft Partner.  You may want to go into the Office 365 admin center and open a support case and ask for the extension of the trial.

Another thing you can do is restore from a backup from the Admin for CRM

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks,
