e-mail attachment invisible

When emailing from CRM with an attachment, the record of the email is stored but when I go into that record at a later date, there is nothing in the attachments area. Is it possibly a settings issue or this is the way it should be? If that's normal behavior, please advise the article I can refer to, thanks.

    Hi Somesh, thanks for your response. I found out it was not a bulk deletion job, but a workflow that worked in background.

    Hi Armine,

    It is possible that there is a bulk deletion job which deletes all the emails after some x no. of days. Generally System Administrators or configurators create Bulk deletion jobs to delete old attachments to save CRM storage as it is expensive.

    You can check if there is any such job:
