Hello Experts,
I would like to convert Ax2012 xpo file to D365 xml file for forms .I look forward to your help.
Thanks in advance,
Phani
Hi,
you can and you should use the code upgrade tool in LCS. It works on modelstore level, not on individual elements. But just put your modelstore there, and your form as well as all other elements are converted to D365 compatible source code.
Hi Nikolaos,
Thanks for your reply,
Could you please help us with detailed steps so that it will be handy , since I am new to LCS.
Thanks,
you can find it all in Microsoft docs, please try to search the web for "dynamics 365 operations code upgrade service".
I did such a search, and this was the top result: docs.microsoft.com/.../configure-execute-code-upgrade
Does the model store contain only USR level modified AOTs or entire AOT will come, when I export model store? seems to be big in size what ever generated model store file.
Modelstore is the entire x++ codebase.
docs.microsoft.com/.../model-store-architecture
To be frank we don't have subscription to LCS. Can't I make job on my own .if you provide some instructions how to build xml.
If you need to convert it to D365, then I'm sure that you or someone else has a D365 LCS project.
Just use the tool that exists.
Of course you can develop a similar tool yourself. Just take a look at how the D365 form XML looks like. And write code that converts XPO to that. Or, use the tool that exists and doesn't cost anything to use.
