unable to attach a pdf file in a leave request no matter how small the file size is

always generate request with 0 attachment

I am unable to reproduce this issue on standard version 10.0.39.

If this is happening only for you and not for any other users, that could be security related to your username.

But if this is being faced by everyone; In that case could you check if any tables are locked for the attachments?

Organization Administration >> Setup >> Document Management >> Active document tables

Are the attachments working in any other areas of the system?

Hi,
I can add attachments to my leave request. Did you receive any error messages while uploading the attachments? Is the button for uploading attachments disabled? Check if you have correctly filled in the date section information and ensure that you have sufficient permissions to attach files to the leave request. Try attaching other types of files besides PDF files to determine if it is a PDF file specific issue. Also check that if there are any customizations here.
