Security Privileges wise, what should we include when create custom workflow ?

Hi guys,

For creating custom workflow, and speaking about Security role, especially privileges, what is the appropriate / needed to be included to make a person able to do some action in the workflow ?

My issue is because if I'm using Admin account, I can see the Workflow button. but if I login as other user, which I have given privileges that related to the Menu item-Action of my custom workflow, this is not appeared.

As mentioned, I created Duty which having Privileges that set to Action Item of Approve and Reject, which belong to my custom workflow, and I gave access level:Delete. If in UI, I saw this privilege menu item action has Grant.

Hi,

You can refer to this blog: dynamicspedia.com. It is not straightforward to know what to add to your security objects. There is no security diagnostics tool for workflow elements in the application. In this article, you will learn about the security architecture for workflows and some tips. It will make you know what security privileges to assign.

Hello,

For the user to see the Workflow button,

Assign the following Action menu item:

WFTypeSubmitMenuItem

WFTypeCancelMenuItem

If you want the user to be able to approve, reject, RequestChange... then assign the action menu item create by the approval object:

WFApprovalApprove, WFApprovalReject, WFApprovalRequestChange, WFApprovalResubmit.
