increasing number of records shown in look up drop down

Posted on by 850

Hi All,

I am trying to increase the number of records shown in drop down in look up type of field.

When we click on magnifying glass in look up field, 10 records gets drilled down by default. I want to increase this to 15 or 20 or may be more.

Refer attached screenshot for more details.

Can you please suggest me any work around.

Supported & Unsupported Customization is welcome.

Thanks,

Nazir

    Hi partner,

Unfortunately, there is no way to achieve this.

You could try typing more characters to narrow the results, or click on "Look Up More Records".

Okay, UCI think is informative. But as of now we are not using UCI.

We are using legacy web client. So you meant there is no way(supported & unsupported way) we can achieve this??

    Hi partner,

Your screenshot shows that you are using the web client (classic UI), I'd recommend you use UCI (Unified Interface).

    • web client

In web client, such as Sales, we can't increase the maximum number of results for a lookup field, which can only be 10.

If you want to see more records, you can click on "Look Up More Records" to select them.

    • UCI

In UCI, such as Sales Hub, the lookup field can increase the maximum number of lookups indefinitely. You only need to pull the scroll bar to the end, and the records on the next page will be loaded automatically.

Moreover, it does not have "Look Up More Records".

The web client will be completely abandoned by Microsoft in the future, so in order to increase the maximum number of results for the search field, please use the unified interface.
