SSRS report error (rsReportServerNotActivated)

ReportReport

Hi all!

I am having below report server error.

"Error while setting server report parameters. Error message:.........(rsReportServerNotActivated)

The situation is, I am performing hotfix apply in test environment but customer decided not to apply hotfix.

Then I restored MicrosoftDynamicsAX, MicrosoftDynamicsAX_Model, MicrosoftDynamicsAX_baseline, ReportDB, ReportDBTemp from backup file.

Then when I verified the report server setting, it gave me the error.

Do I need to do further action after retored the DBs like intialize a Report Server?

Notes: There is information that deleting encryption key can solve this error,

So I deleted it from SQL server reporting service manager and the error doesn't appear,

but the reports are not displayed normally.

some kind of parameter or setting is needed or missing?

Thanks in advance, all.

    Hi Pooh,

Restore the database and then restore the key of the source Reportserver
    1. Delete the encrypted content and reset the encrypted key under the encrypted key column in the configuration manager.
    2. Attempt to activate Report Services manually
RSActivate.exe-c "c: Program Files Microsoft SQL Server MSSQL Reporting Services ReportServer RSReportServer. config"-t

I hope it will help you.

It's been a while on this but I thought I would put this out there.

When I generate .csv out of AX and then open in Excel, it ALWAYS shows in one single column.

I have now just gotten used to using 'Data' -> 'Text to columns' -> Delimeter -> Comma.

That separates it for me and makes it a true .csv.
