CRM V9.x : Export to excel button is disabled for selected record on Advanced Find and Views on home screen

Hi,

User is system administrator and not able to export the selected record in excel  from the advanced find.

Export to excel button is disabled for selected record on Advanced Find  and Views on home screen with CRM/D365 V9.x. Is it a new feature in D365 V9.0 or is it bug?

    Hi Neeti,

    It is not a new feature or bug in D365v9.

    When you export records to Excel from an advanced find or view, you actually only export the columns based on the selected view and also filter record based on the criteria defined in the view.

    It is currently not supported to select several records in the filter results and export to Excel.

    • You can only export all records for the current view or the current page, then delete other extra records in the exported Excel.
    • Or modify the filter criteria for advanced find, filter only the records you need, and then export to Excel.
    • If you want to export only selected records, you can use Report. A Report can be run on a view, a single record or on a list of selected records in a view.

    Hi,

     

    In Dynamics CRM Version 8.2, as per "Export To Excel" button functionality all records will be exported based on which option is selected. Here "Export To Excel" button will not export only selected records.

     

    Now, in Dynamics CRM Version 9.0, "Export To Excel" button functionality remains same as Dynamics CRM Version 8.2 but "Export To Excel" button is disabled on selecting any record in grid, since "Export To Excel" button will not export only selected records.
