Authorization of a user against Licenses in CRM Portals

Hi All,

We have an CRM portal deployed for internal use. Access to the portal is restricted by Licenses.

Whomever has the valid Microsoft Team Member License only can login to the portal and access the information. But, for last few days we could see anyone can login to the portal, even without valid license. Authentication of users happens against local AD. This setting was working fine for last 2 years and suddenly stopped working without any change in settings. Can anyone please help on how to fix the issue?

    Not sure if manual registration is enabled in Portal. If that is the case then, you might need to turn off the Registration tab as well. It will restrict anonymous portal access.

    We highly recommend users to migrate to PowerUsers community for new Portal questions:

    powerusers.microsoft.com/.../PowerAppsPortals

    my suggestion would be adding a plugin on the creation of the contact record (pre-operation plugin)

    try to identify if it is coming from the Portals, and try to match with a valid user in the system, if there is no valid user, throw an exception / don't allow the contact record to be created
