When Time sheet is posted approved without workflow is not creating Project hour transactions

Hello Experts,

When Timesheet is posted, approved when the workflow is enabled creates Project hour transactions in ProjEmplTrans but when it posted, approved manual when the workflow is disabled, it does not create Project hour transactions.

The version is AX 2012 R2 CU6

Please help!

    Can you rephrase your question? What exactly do you mean with "approved manual when workflow is disabled"?

    Hi Andre,

    When i create a time sheet, enter hours, approve it and post it then I should see the record created in hour transactions.

    The thing is, I can see the record when workflow is enabled but when workflow is disabled, I cannot see it.

    May I know the reason? Why?

    Hi Raziq,

    The workflow has some logic which is executed for the timesheets depending on the status. Initially it created hour journals and then posted them. As of a certain update, the hour journal is bypassed and it creates transactions directly when posting the timesheet.

    Anyway, the setup of workflow is required to use the timesheets functionality correctly. So, ensure the workflow is enabled. If you don't require any workflow on the timesheets, the you can setup an action for automatic approval within the WF configuration.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Is it possible that it can create hour journals when timesheet is posted without workflow intervention as we don't want workflow any more to approve timesheet?

    Hi Raziq,

    Have a look at my last reply. The workflow is mandatory. Or you have to customize the system. With an automatic approval setup, you can prevent customizations.
