AX 2012 - Multiple Packing Slips on Sales Order

Hello,

From time to time we run into orders that generate a packing slip for each line.  We had one that created 27 individual packing slips with 1 line on each.  I am trying to determine what caused this.  I know that if, for example, you have different delivery address for each line then it will create multiple packing slips.  However, in these instances, I don't see any difference such as that at the line level.  What are some other scenarios/reasons that a packing slip would be created for each line?  Is there some configuration option during the packing slip posting that could cause this?  Thanks in advance for any assistance.

    Hi Jim,

    You can look in to the Accounts Receivable parameters. On the tab Summary update you will find a button called Summary update parameters. In this form you can set which fields determines to have a new packing slip. Standard only 2 fields are active: Currency and Invoice account.

    Do you have more fields selected here?

    Do you have some customizations in your environment?

    I checked and we only have the 2 standard fields active (Currency and Invoice).  I'm going to look into the customizations on our end to see if anything surfaces.

    I'm pretty sure we saw this once when we had changed the delivery address on the header - there was a warning like 'the logistics address is out of date'   We deselected the parameter to split by delivery information because we didn't use the delivery address on the line.

    Hi Jim,

    There are only 2 split options for the packing slip i.e. Site and Delivery information. You could verify these parameter values in AR parameters >Summary Update in Split based on group.

    So for the order in question, could you please verify that the site and delivery information (even a new line character in Name filed could cause this issue. A customization could cause be causing this issue) are same (Given both parameters are checked in params above).

    I've had the same issue, but couldn't figure out why. Only way to solve it was to use the summary update and arrange.
