Is there a way to extract/export a list of all Dynamics CRM solutions in excel

ReportReport

I am trying to create a report with a list of all Solutions(Managed and Unmanaged) solutions in excel. However, I am not able to "export" as that option is not available in any of the Solution Views. The Solution entity does not even exist in 'Advanced Find", thus it won't show up in a report wizard. I don't want to manually copy the list and put it in excel either, cause that's a bit laborious.

Do you guys know an easy way to export a list of "all" solutions from a CRM environment. I am using Dynamics 365 version of CRM.

Appreciated your help!

Thanks!

Cathy.

    Hi,

    take a look at this:

    d365blogger.com/.../

    XRM ToolBox Solution History

    Pro

    1. Provide details on the Solution Components and details of the components
    2. Provides details about the user who Imported or exported the solution
    3. The solution history log can be exported as a XML to excel
    4. Ability to view the solution history within a provided date range

    Con

    1. It provides details about the Solution Imports. Details about solution Exports and uninstalls are NOT provided
    2. Requires XRM Toolbox to view the Solution History .

    Hope it helps

    Hi,

You can fetch all your solutions using this request:

    https://YourOrganization.crm.dynamics.com/api/data/v9.0/solutions

You will get a JSON File like that:

    0842.solutions.jpg

Then you can convert your JSON to an Excel, you can use one of this tools:

    https://json-csv.com/json-to-excel-converter-add-in

    https://www.gunamoi.com.au/soft/savejson2csv/index.html

    http://convertcsv.com/json-to-csv.htm

You will get something like this:

    solutions-xl.png

You can also use flow to generate your Excel Report periodically, Check the image below; the flow will be executed each week:

    flow-solutions.png

    Hope this helps

You can sort of do that from the solutions history, display all solutions history and export then just remove the duplicates.

Using a very old CRM system I went into the Chrome Developer Tools view on the page and located the <table> element for the Solutions table page, right clicked Copy outer HTML on the node.  I was able to paste this into Excel for further use.  Formatting not great but better than doing it by hand for a few minutes of style tidy up.

Using this technique I also extracted plugins, publishers and a few other things I needed to complete an environment assessment.
