Lookup field search multiple fields

Hey All,

Can an account lookup be configured to look for multiple fields? So at the moment it's doing a lookup on the account name but is there a way to configure it to also accept queries on the Account ID?

The Account ID at the moment is just a Plain Text field that is populated from our external database.

Thanks

Sam

Hi, can you add the fields on the searchable fields for the quick find view?

Thanks Carlo. What I really need is a way for the user to lookup an account based on the accounts ID field within the form so it can be done as part of creating the record. This is useful though so I'll still put that in but it's not exactly what I'm looking for.

    Cheers

    Sam

EDIT - Apologies, I didn't read this right the first time. This works!

    Hi Sam,

You will need to add the field(s) you want folks to be able to search for, in the quick find view for accounts. In your case you would add the Account ID as a searchable field by opening the "Quick Find Active Accounts' view and add them by clicking on 'Edit find table columns'.

If by Account ID you mean the internal GUID then the answer is no.  But as there is not an out of the box field with a display name of "Account ID" it is likely that you can just add it to the Quick View view.
