Hello All:

I am Unable to Grey Out the /New/ Button on Customer Form.  Need to be able to allow user to update but not create a new customer. I can block from table, but want the button greyed out

Here is the field and form info:

I have /Denied/ access to CustTableNew Display Menu Item (the /New/ button)

and to CustTable Table:

Still not greyed out (But I was able to get the Delete greyed out)

Any help appreciated

Thanks

Paul

    Hi Paul.

My recommendation is not to start using the "Deny" option as it will override any future access granted to a user.

Instead my recommendation would be to set the access level on the "Custtablelistpage", "Custtabledetails" and "custtableedit" menu items, to only grant read and update access. Leave the create and delete levels as "Unset".

You should not include the "Custtablenew" menu item in your privilege, so simply remove that.

Similarly, there should be no need to add table acccesses if you limit the access as stated above.

    Hi Nikola

I set the access level for  "Custtablelistpage", "Custtabledetails" and "custtableedit" menu items to grant "read" and "update" access only. Leaving the create and delete levels as "Unset".

I removed the "Custtablenew" menu item also as you stated also.

New button still shows and it's still not greyed out.
