CRM Charts - Color-Coding

Hi,

I'm trying to figure out if there's a way to do something specific with a chart regarding color-coding in two different ways.

1) I have a list of people who have different kinds of tickets assigned (P1, P2, P3, and P4)

2) Each person is on a different team (Team1, Team2, Team3, Team4, Team5, and Team6)

I can show each person and how many of each priority tickets they have, and I can show each person and color-code which team they are on (with the TOTAL of all tickets per person).

However, I cannot figure out if these can be combined: Display each person individually, indicate which team the person is on, display how many of each priority tickets the person owns, and finally display how many total tickets the person owns.

Thanks for any help.

    RE: CRM Charts - Color-Coding

    Hi Javed Nehal Jamali,

    So I did what you suggested, but all it did was change the colors. It's almost like I need to 'add a series' in order to have another set of options, but I can't figure out how to try that.  Here's hopefully a better visual of what I'm trying to accomplish - the columns show total tickets, color coded by priority, per each person that is color-coded by team:

    Random colors for Priority: P1(red); P2(blue); P3(orange); P4(Green)

    Random colors for Teams: Team A (Purple) ; Team B (Dark Green)

                                                                                        ticket

                                                                                        ticket

                                                                                        ticket

                                                                                        ticket                                                                       ticket

                                                                                        ticket                                                                       ticket

                      ticket                                                          ticket                                                                       ticket

                      ticket                                                          ticket                                                                       ticket

                      ticket                                                          ticket                                    ticket                           ticket

                      ticket                                                          ticket                                    ticket                           ticket

                      ticket                     ticket                            ticket                                    ticket                           ticket

    5 tickets (3 p4, 2 p3) | 1 ticket (p2)            | 10 tickets (2 p2, 1 p1, 7 p3) | 3 tickets (1 p2, 2 p4) | 7 tickets (4 p2, 3 p3) | etc....

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Person 1 (Team A)     | Person 2 (Team A)  | Person 3 (Team B)               | Person 4 (Team B)     | Person 5 (Team B)     | etc.....

    Hope this helps to better explain - thank you!

    Hi Kristin,

    You can export your out of the box chart and then color code in XML file. Then reupload with the same name overwriting the existing file.

    You need to change the RGB in the following snippet of XML.

    <Chart Palette="None" PaletteCustomColors="91,151,213; 255,0,0; 255,255,0; 255,192,0; 68,114,196; 112,173,71; 37,94,145; 158,72,14; 117,55,125; 153,115,0; 38,68,120; 67,104,43; 124,175,221; 241,151,90; 186,144,192; 255,205,51; 105,142,208; 140,193,104; 50,125,194; 210,96,18; 150,83,159; 204,154,0; 51,90,161; 90,138,57;">

         <Series>

       </Chart>

    Thanks,

    RE: CRM Charts - Color-Coding

    Good Morning, Abby,

    My company uses Dynamics 365 and I'm just trying to create a chart for a dashboard that my department uses.  I hope this answers your question.

    Thank you.

    Hi Kristin,

    Are you implementing this with Dynamics 365 charts or SSRS or another type of data visualization?

    Regards,

    Abby
