Hi team,

I have saw the option "Create alert rule". I never worked on that before

Form - Option - Create alert rule
Here we got fw options like

Table name
Event
Send externally

Could you please let me know

1. is it work similar like business event?

2. If I set send externally = yes  , then how it will connect with power automate?

3. If I use this functionality, is we NO needs to create custom business events?

4. Can I use this functionality in custom form?

Kindly elaborate point wise pls.

thanks!

Create Alert Rule is different from Business Events. It's mainly used to notify users when specific data changes occur. If Send externally is enabled, alerts can be consumed by external systems like Power Automate. Business Events are still the recommended option for robust integrations and custom automation. Yes, you can also use alert rules on custom tables/forms if they support the alert framework.
