D365 Finance and SCM license changes

Hi, Team,

With the release of Wave 1 2020 of D365 Microsoft announced that the license model is changing. Instead of having subscription licenses related to the D365 F&O application. It would split into subscription licenses for finance, supply chain and commerce separately. Has anyone any idea on if this change will potentially affect existing F&O customers.

Hi Faisal,

I just know about the regulation specified on this site and what is described in the licensing guide.

dynamics.microsoft.com/.../

$180 for Finance and then plus $30 for Supply Chain.

To be absolutely sure that there is no other change, contact MS because things change very often when it comes to licensing :-)

Hi Faisal,

It will affect existing customers when they are up for a license renewal. Then they will be transitioned to the base and attach licensing model.

Have been following-up with MS but by the sound of it seems like there is no affect on existing customers, it matters with renewal or new subscriptions.
