Missing 1:N fields in advance find/App views

I have a parental relationship between two custom entities, which work fine in relation to subgrids etc. However, while I can filter primary entity views based on fields in the related entity (using Advanced find>Primary entity>select>related entity etc), the option does not exist for me to  add the columns to a view. What am I doing wrong?

Cheers

Ralph

Thanks Ravi, yep that makes sense (if a little frustrating). I'll have to work a way round from the other way!

    Cheers

    Hi Ralph,

It is current not possible to select the field values from the parent entity and display it in the view. This is by design. The reason for this is advance find returns unique records, if CRM allows field from the child entity then it will result in duplicate record for the main/ parent entity.

    E.g.

    Parent 1Name Child1 Name

Parent 1 Name Child 2 Name

    etc.

    Hope this makes sense.

Hi Diego, yes for filter/query but not for columns (which is what I want so I can make a view including the column).

    Cheers
