Error in unit of amount in currency GBP. Must be rounded up to 0.01

There is an error with posting GBP invoices. I believe most of the errors have to do with the 'penny rounding issue' or some other setting with the way the GBP is setup. Has anybody faced any similar issues before? Any help is appreciated.

I read about it online and there were instances where people have talked about a hotfix solution for this issue. If someone has any information around the same, please share.

    Hi Nidhi,

Please check your GL parameters and what is setup as penny difference. Also verify whether all automatic accounts are setup (GL/Setup/Posting/Accounts for automatic Transactions). If this does not help, please also check your GBP currency setup. In the currency form in GL you can find the rounding rules under GL/Setup/currency/Currencies.

    All the best, Ludwig

Are you trying to post a document in GBP with more than 2 decimals ?

I will suggest you please go to  GBP currency -> setup-> check rounding value setup. make it 0.01

Path - General Ledger - Setup - Currency

    Hi Ludwig,

In my GL Parameters, the maximum penny difference is setup as '0.02'. Should i be changing it to 0.01?

Accounts for automatic transactions have been setup.

In GBP Currency setup, the general rounding rule is set to 0.01.

I think if i change the maximum penny difference in GL parameters, that should do the trick. What do you think?

    Hi Bhaskar,

In GBP Currency setup, the general rounding rule is set to 0.01 already.

If your setup is correct and you aren't using interfaces to upload directly into journals. Did you take a look at LCS ? There some KB to solve similar issues, but it is dependent of your AX version.

Hi Nidhi, I hope that increasing the penny difference will do the trick. Yet, I experienced cases where there was a penny difference of 0.04. Maybe try to increase it to 0.05 in a demo system first and see if it helps. All the best, Ludwig
