Restrict access to portal based IP addresses

Hi,

I will like to restrict access to our Dynamics 365 Portal Add-on based on IP addresses.

May I  know if anyone has done this via the code level e.g. javascript?

I know we could do this via conditional access using Azure Premium subscription but there's additional cost involve, so we are looking at other alternatives.
