Hi All,

Our company only used Route for finish good item so that when we run a master planing I see the system only make a correct start date and end date on production order for finish good item. the system make a master plan for semi finish good and component isn't correct. I see it make a start date and the end date is the same day.

I want to change start date and end date for all production order. But I see it was disable .

Andre is right. These are driven by the outputs of master planning's scheduling processes.  They are set based on the number of pieces you're producing and how long the route operations say it should take to make the specified number of pieces.  The capacity reservations created by master planning dictate what these dates say.

That said, you can change them by rescheduling the job.  Click the "schedule" button in the ribbon bar of the production orders form.  Select either operations or job scheduling and run the job that opens up.  You can specify which direction you want the engine to run or even enter a date to go forward or backwards from.

Manually entering these dates don't really give you anything.  If you want to change a date manually, try the order date and the delivery date.

    Hi phongqn2000,

Master planning has many parameters to control the date and they are all connected.

You should check the parameters of date in some setup rather then to change order manually.

Maybe you need to learn about master planning setup: www.ebecs.com;op=

    Dear Andre',

Our company not yet go live so that We not yet made any transactions on the system. I want to using master planing for running purchase order material. But When I run production planned - I need to manually enter start date and end date because I see the system show the start date and end date isn't correct.

Do you know how to setup a system with master planning which user can manually enter start date and end date ?

    Thanks

    Pham

    Hi Pham,

You cannot change the planned production start and end dates. These are set by the setup of your master planning. I'm not aware of your master planning settings and all other transactions. You can contact your partner or master planning consultant to see what can be changed to get other planned dates. Note that you can also create manually production orders without using master planning firming.
