Hi there!

Could you please advise how to determine what is consuming the most amount of CPU and/or memory within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations - Batch Management Service. Based on the description it polls and executes Operations batch requests. But how to determine the CPU/memory load within the Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations - Batch Management Service.

This 1611 Update 7 cloud hosted environment: Public AOS server, Private AOS server and BI server.

Many thanks, in advance!

Thank you very much for your constant help, Sukrut! Highly appreciate it!

The CPU went back to normal after the reboot of the server.

Here are the available performance counters which are running. D365 box is cloud-hosted environment. Can we stop them at least temporary for the troubleshooting purposes?

Here is what I found usine the Process Monitor and filtered the batch.exe process:

    The repeating operations:

00:56.8    Batch.exe    5672    RegQueryKey    HKLM    SUCCESS    Query: HandleTags, HandleTags: 0x0
    00:56.8    Batch.exe    5672    RegOpenKey    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib    SUCCESS    Desired Access: Read
    00:56.8    Batch.exe    5672    RegCloseKey    HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Perflib    SUCCESS

00:56.8    Batch.exe    5672    Process Profiling        SUCCESS    User Time: 810507.4843750 seconds, Kernel Time: 34.3750000 seconds, Private Bytes: 910,376,960, Working Set: 1,083,416,576

May be we need to disable the performance counters or another monitoring?

Thank you for the advise, Sukrut! I suppose it's only one service which consumes a lot of CPU and that is Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations - Batch Management Service. Of course, there is may be something which is not started and on which Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Operations - Batch Management Service relies... But we I'm afraid to reboot the server, because it may generate the inconsistent data. We have an important milestone on the end of the next week so we would rather do investigation of the issue than something very radical like reboots.

Yes, I checked: I opened System administration > Inquiries > Batch jobs > Batch job, but there were no any legal entities which had batch job with Executing status. Just Withhold and Ended.
