I need to send email alerts to the purchase order creator when a workflow stops across legal entities. I set up an alert for one legal entity, which triggers a business event and Power Automate flow to send an email successfully and it works perfectly good.
The issue is when eabling the alert for organization-wide disables send externally which prevents business event triggers. Creating separate alerts and flows per legal entity causes duplicate emails since PO numbers share same number sequences across entities (some cases) if not the flow fails.
Has anyone encountered this? Any suggestions would be highly appeciated.
Hi Uday, one effective approach is to aggregate and deduplicate the events in a Dataverse table than sending the email.
In practice, the Business Event / alert always writes a record into a custom Dataverse table using a composite key, for example: DataAreaId, Creatorm, PurchId
At the end you can create a recurrency flow that send the email without duplicates of records not yet sended (using a state flag).
Best regards,
Diego
