Getting Same Email Address in Sender and Receiver in Notifications

Dear All,
 
I have configured the SMTP settings in email parameters and also i am able to send the test email successfully. But when i set up an alert rule and want to get the email notification of any change, I.e. batch job, then I am getting the /Sender/ and /Recipient/ same in my email history for that alert rule.
 
Can you please advise where am i doing it wrong.?
 
Email Parameters and Connection Test Status:
 
 
Test Email Sent Successfully:
 
 
Sender and receiver are correct in email history:
 
 
But with Alert rule, i am getting the same sender as receiver (set on my user options):
 
 
Email History (Both Sender and receiver are same - email in my user options):

Please advise, where it is configured wrong.?

    Did you resolve this issue ?
     
    I also faced the same and it is only regarding Batch Alerts. When set up Batch alerts and choose email notifications as a result, in email history form email recepient is the same as a sender and that is the reason why your email notification sending is failed. 
     
    Does anybody  know is it some product bug (I looked through issues in LCS and didn't find ) or some special set up is needed.

    Hi Muhammed Ali,

    I wasn't talking about the "user option" sender email, i was talking about the email defined for the user in SysAdmin form.  (as the "user option" sender email for me is empty) -- not sure if it will make a difference though

    That's correct, by standard, the sender would be different from the receiver. In the user option, we configure the sender email. I am also configuring the same way. But somehow, I am getting this issue in my alert emails. 
     
     
    Kevin, for once, i did get the emails of my alerts (almost 1500) but only once. Then again i get this issue arise and could not close this one. Also, the system is sending other HR and workflow related emails correctly but only alerts.

    Hi Muhammad Ali,
     
    I just tried to configure the email in my devBox and it worked correctly.

    When I created the alert, the email recipient was filled with an email different than the email configured to my userId

     
     
    And when I looked at email history, they were different

     
    And here are my settings:

    Hi,
    I searched for your problem in the search engine and it doesn't seem that anyone is having the same problem as you. I looked at your settings and didn't find anything wrong with the configuration. Is this an episodic issue, or does this happen with other emails?
    Maybe you can try configuring and sending email again, here are the steps of the official standard: Configure and send email - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn.
