Hopefully someone here can help me point towards the right direction as I am out of clue.
Two days ago I did a ClickDimensions Import in order to subscribe some of our contacts to a created marketing list.
I'm aware that this is an external service provider and this is a forum regarding CRM itself. But here's what happened:
For a large number of contacts I created an import, which should've only updated the subscription preference.
However, somehow it also updated the already filled fields in the contact itself, among this the owner seems to have been reassigned.
Even though it got reassigned to the exact same owner, it did trigger our workflow to send the 'new' owner a notification of the new assignment.
But that's only where the problem started: For two days now, these notifications have been flooding our sales team their mailboxes.
Somehow it seems that the notifications got into some kind of loop, even though it nowhere shows that there have been modifications whatsoever.
In the process sessions of the workflow it shows empty, in fact there are no business processes showing with relation to the notifications at all, even though they still are coming in at this moment.
I am in touch with ClickDimensions as well, but they say (i think fairly) that they aren't responsible for workflows or the messages sent by them. On the other hand it's 100% certain that this problem was initiated by the specific ClickDimensions import (so not the normal excel import process you'd use to update contacts).
Does anyone have any idea how to stop this, or at least have a direction where to look to find out what's causing this?
