Field security profile conflicts

Hello everyone,

I am trying to solve an issue for a client. We have 2 field security profiles : one with read-only on 4 fields and one with read+edit.

The profile that only allows to read is assigned to a team, and the one that has read+edit is assigned to 3 users.

Those 3 users still can't edit the fields, and I am wondering if this is because they are also part of the team that has the "read-only" profile assigned to it.

DO you think that might be why ?

Thanks a lot in advance !

I have the same question (0)

    Hi SofianeNedjar,

Along with Tom Northrup. I double check on my side there is such a case. It is working as expected.

    Hello, thanks for reaching out.

Are you sure the users are trying to edit an existing record and not trying to edit the field on a the create of a new record? The edit only allows permission if the record is already created.

Hi Abdul Wahab thanks for replying !

Unfortunately I can't remove them from the team because it's the default team generated by the business unit and all the users are part of that team

So you think that my theory is correct, even if the 3 users are in a read/edit profile, because they are part of the other team they can't edit the fields ?

    Hi SofianeNedjar,

If this is the sandbox, why do not you remove them from the team? If the issue is resolved then this is the culprit.
