Journal Posting person and the approval person should not be the same

Dear members,

I would like to know if there exists any standard functionality in D365 Finance and Operations, where my requirement is as follows :
Consider two persons (X &Y). Person X can create the journal, but should not be able to post it. It should be posted only by Person Y. Likewise If Person Y creates the journal, it must be posted only by Person Y, and he should not be able to post it.
I am aware that this requirement can be done using workflow. But, I would like to know if there standard method (setup) available to meet my requirement.

Please render your valuable thoughts in what other ways I can meet it out using standard methods.

Thanks in advance,
Saravanan

    Hi,
As Ramit said, you can check out the official documentations on creating advanced rules for journals and setting up financial journal approvals where you can set posting limits and approval limits.

    Hi,

There are some possibilities you can opt for, one is posting restrictions in journal names setup.

Two is you can have set of users in maker checker approval group (not workflow ).

In both the way you can have set of users who can post the journal, others can't.
