Unable to create Sales Budget

Hi All, I'm trying to create Sales Budget based on Dimensions Vs Period. When I key in the value, I'm getting an error message as 'Item No. must have a value in Item Budget Entry: Entry No. = 1. It cannot be zero or empty'.

I could not get enough documentation for Sales Budgets as compared to GL Budget. Kindly request to help me on creating the Sales budget by resolving the Item Budget issue. Thanks in advance.

I think this could be fixed if you put on "Ítem Filter" a value with an unique Item. Item No. seems be mandatory.

    Dear Jesús Almaraz Martín,

Though it works, there is a restriction of assigning Budget to each of the Item (which is impossible since we have more than 400 Items).

In my case, we tagged Dimensions to the Customers and the budget needs to be calculated for the Sales transactions of those Customers.

Request your suggestion on handling this case.

    Good morning Saravanan:

I think there is no good solution in this case. But let´s see the better one (IMO):

Create a new and fictitious Item only for budgets and set this Item to fill the Budget.

This could fix the problem, unless otherwise you say: "I want to hide all this to the user. User can´t see the fictitious Item." So, you can follow these steps:

    - A new field in Item Budget Name table "Default Item No.".

    - A Special Item Budget Page, with the Item Filter hidden, and Code to set this filter to the field created above.

A single question to check before (I can´t check this here): Analysis views work with different Item in Budget and entries. I think yes, but not sure.

I am sorry if not enough useful or difficult. Best regards.

    Dear Jesús Almaraz Martín,

Thanks much. It works fine now.
