Workflow Escalation Notifications

I have created a workflow that escalates if no action within 2 days.  If the workflow goes to escalation and still no action, it is set to reject.
 
When it rejects automatically after no escalation active, it gets assigned back to the submitter to recall the workflow and resubmit. 
 
I cannot find a way to have the system notify the submitter via email that the workflow has been rejected due to no activity.
 
Is there a way to notify the submitter via email that the workflow is back with them due to no active?
