can't select my project from purchase order

Dears 

i am using Dynamics GP , I have created a project in project accounting, i added a cost category , and i added an item to it , i then changed the status from "Estimate" to "Open"

now i went to the purchase order and i created a new one and i was trying to select the project  but i can't see my project, i can see other projects but not mine 

what am i missing ?

    Hi Peter,

    When new projects get created, you also have to assign them to who will be able to use them..

    This is from the PA Help and should help :-)

    Employee Access List window

     

    Project > Cards > Project > Enter or select a project > Access List

     

    Use this window to assign employees to a project.

    I created a project and accessed the access list and gave it to all users yet still i am not able to open a Purchase order and select that project on the PO lines level.

    Hi Peter,

    Thanks for your question.

    You mention that you set the status to Open. Was that on the Cost Category, Project or Contract? All 3 need to be in an Open status in order to enter transactions against them and since this project is not showing in your look-up window that could be why. If that checks out okay, then I would try manually typing in the project and tabbing off the field. Do you receive an error message that provides more information on what might be wrong? Please share if you do.

    Beat -

    The Access List feature in Project Accounting applies to Timesheets. If you don't have any employees on the Access List then ALL employees can enter time against that project. If you have 3 employees on the Access List for example, then only those 3 employees can enter time and all other employees would be prevented from doing so. This does not have any effect on the ability to enter a PO for a project however.

    It's been a while I've been using the PA module in GP.. didn't recall the exact details about the access list and that it was only for Time & Expense cost categories :-)

    Thank you Pamela for this excellent suggestion , it worked, turned out this Project was closed for Cost and for some reason the checkbox was not visible , i thank you for your help, been stuck here for some time
