Language Packs for CRM Online?

(0) ShareShare

We are currently using Dynamics 365 online 9.2.22012.140. We are housing multiple companies with different Languages. Here are my questions:

1. Dynamics 365 comes with French, Spanish and English. Since we are using online version, are additional Language Packs available?

2. How does Dynamics handle german umlaut (ä ö ü...) and other swedish or even farsi characters with in all Entities?

3. If additional Language Packs are available, are they at a cost and how do I obtain them?

TIA

as far as I know there isn't a Farsi (Persian) language pack and the other component related to the language (the calendar) is not available.
Farsi text inside records are handled.

Related to the characters you mentioned in your question, they are handled but the sorting of records inside the grids depend on the base language of Dynamics CRM/ 365 CE.

If the base language is English they are sorted like (a, Ã¤, b) but if the base language is Swedish for example they are usually sorted at the end, like (a, b, .., x, y, z, Ã¤, ö, ü)

    hope it helps

    Hello,

In order to activate additional language packs open your power platform admin center - admin.powerplatform.microsoft.com/ and select the instance you want to activate it for and open "Settings", open "Products" and click "Languages". You will be navigated to the list of available language packs - select those languages you would want to activate and click "Activate". Those language packs are available for free.

I have many colleagues from different countries including Sweden and Germany and I don't remember they mention any issues with umlauts so I would assume you have it supported out of the box. If you experience any issues - open a ticket with Microsoft and let them fix it for you.
