Hello,
We've noticed that some tasks are being set to 'Completed' automatically, and what stands out in those tasks is the Event type is 'Set State'.
We cannot understand what is triggering this Event Type. Has anyone faced this in the past?

Maybe you can check if there are any live or background workflows in the Tasks entity?
There is an action in the workflow - change status.
If I use this action, I can get the same events as you (set state and reopen).
1)change to completed status
2)Change to open status:
Or any plug-ins already running on the task to set state?

hello Leah Ju - update from my end is that by looking into the field sync settings for Outlook, I was able to reproduce the audit history trail after closing synced CRM Tasks from Outlook or Teams. However, when surveying my colleagues, they have not been closing Tasks this way.
Still unclear how some Tasks have been automatically closed. Still investigating, and might have to adjust some 2 way syncing:
