Timesheets

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hi,

When creating a timesheet, I don't want letting employees to impute more than 8 hours in a day and i want to let them imputing in weekends even if i've mention in the calendar that the weekend isn't a working day. How can i do that in AX2012?

Best regards

    Hi Ameny,

It is the same in D365FO. There has not been a change in this area.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ameny,

The feature Christoph mentioned below is the one available in AX2012. It provides, however, only a soft warning and does not stop you from entering more than 8 hours. If you need such a functionality in AX2012 you would have to modify what is available. In D365FO you have a timesheet policy functionality available that can do exactly what you are looking for. Rachel gave a webinar on this exact topic last week with the AXUG. If interested, check out the AXUG Webinar recordings website for details (www.axug.com/.../implementing-the-organizational-hie-4;tab=librarydocuments?tab=librarydocuments&CommunityKey=db0185bd-e4a1-4c11-bf10-b956230d09fc => requires Login).

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ameny.

In 2012 R3 you can use the max. working hours in "project setup" for each worker.

As soon as the worker report more than the max working hours the worker will receive this massage.
