Need workflow on line level

Hi All,

I have a requirement from client where I need to configure workflow on SalesLine level. I created workflow Type and all the artifacts and set it to SalesTable form. But the problem is, workflow bar is not showing on line level.

One solution can be the replication like Purch Requsition line level workflow where workflow is triggered from Header and comes down to line afterwards. I want workflow directly on Line. Any solution please?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Hafiz,

If you compare this requirement with e.g. the purchase order approval, then there is a main step to approve a document. This is started from the PO; not the lines. The document is in your case the sales order. If you want to approve individual lines, there can be a line level approval which is a new type, but linked to the main document workflow. There are examples in Dynamics 365 for this.

I would suggest to have a look at the standard workflows and also implement it in the same way. So, you would then get a bar on the top and with help of two workflows, you can manage the document and line approval then.

    André Arnaud de Calavon,

    Thanks for your reply.

I already mentioned that I have seen Purch Req workflow and it is working on the same design as you mentioned above for PO. Is there any way or what is the feasibility to have a workflow on line directly without the header level?

    Thanks

    Hi Hafiz,

I don't think this is possible as all workflow elements and coding options on a form are related to the main datasource.
