Hello,

We are new with D365 finance and operation (10.0.40) and would like to ask for recommendation on where we can get developer trainings that will give us skills needed to customize or extend applications based on business needs.

Thanks!

Hi MacNeg  – we’ve been able to build out a team of developers in this space. We have specific developer training boot camps that we use for onboarding new developers. Happy to have a deeper dive discussion on this topic if you are interested.

    Hi MagNeg,

You can find a lot of development information on Microsoft Learn. You can start here. Develop and customize home page - Finance & Operations | Dynamics 365 | Microsoft Learn
There are local training companies which also provide some classroom training.
Next to these sources, there are a lot of blog posts and videos available on the internet. Note that learning development is like learning how to drive and get your driver's license. After you get it, experience will be really important and help you getting thing achieved quicker and better.

    Hey,

We have a developer who was familiar with C# but not with x++. x++ is very similar to other .net languages. He learned it partly from the MS Learn pages and some specific stuff from our Microsoft partner. After a while he got into by debugging and checking the existing code.

I know it doesnt answer your questions, however, I am not sure if there is an explicit x++ training. I think its similar from learning Business central when you are familiar with F&O, once you have a foundation its much easier to transit to something else.

    Kind rgards, Adis
