Rapidstart Services Importation of excel file

We have a client who needs their Purchase Invoices imported in NAV coming from their 3rd party system provider who processes their purchases. We need to have a Vendor subsidiary ledger so we decided to have it imported through the Purchase Invoice in NAV. But as we try to import the Purchase Header and lines through the excel import function in Rapidstart services, and though the data could be applied in the table, the Purch. Invoice Header does not have a total amount of the line amount found in the Purch. Invoice lines. So our questions are:

1. Is it possible to import the Purchase Inv. Header and Purch. Invoice line through Rapidstart Services?

2. Also, is it possible for us to directly import an excel file directly created from a third party system? We tried to import the said file (following the formatting of the excel file exported from NAV) but upon importation we encountered an error saying that "Excel does not contain xml mappings"

Can anyone give us any possible solution to solve our concernsr?

    hi,

you need an Excel file containing XML fileds mapping (generated from RapidStart and embedded in Excel file); if your source system overwrite the file, your structure is lost and you receive error message.

(you can only fill the excel sheet created from Rapid Start and then import the excel sheet)

or Import external data using NAV Web Services Technology (with XMLPorts)
