Hi,
I work for a company who have created many custom security roles, based on default roles. However, the documentation is poor.
After we removed some security roles from managers, they are suddenly not able to approve workflows. The error says that the user lacks security permissions.
Is it a simple way to identify which privileges that grant access to approve project quotations, timesheets, purchase orders, and so on?
I am aware of signing limits and other criteria, but I want to know which privileges that are needed to have sufficient security permissions.
Hi Gaute,
The process to find which privileges are related is not easy. You can search in the security configuration form for all privileges containing the work "approve" or "approval" and verify if they contain menu items for approval for quotations, timesheets or others. You can filter the privileges containing "approv" to get them all together.
Using a development environment, you can go to the workflow approvals and check which menu items are used. Then for each of the menu items check where they are used in security privileges.
