Primary language of Survey changed

I am facing a strange issue:

I started working on a project and please believe me, the primary language was English

I then moved to a french browser and after some actions (mainly adding questions) the situation has become the following:

French is the Primary Language but it's not flagged "by default"

And when I click the "+ Ajouter une langue", English appears as selected????

And French Unselected??????

Please help, the survey is quite big and it took days to build it

    Hey, 

    I can understand the frustration. Have you reviewed the documentation on languages? You can set French as the default, and you can prevent users from changing the language. Is your goal for all users to see it in French or in the browser's language?

    Thank you very much

    I am pretty familiar with the documentation on languages and btw I had no intention to create a multilingual survey.

    FYI, the issue occurs when I build and configure the survey; it's not about the interface to change the language in a survey received by a contact.

    I just switched from an English configured browser to a French one ... and this automatically created a mess, in the configuration of languages

    Thanks to your pointer I will restate the issue:

    the root language, English, (previously called the default language) disappears from the list when I switch to a French browser and make some edition of the survey
