Dynamics 365 App for Outlook error when loading

Hello Experts,

Recently I am running into some issues when loading Dynamics 365 App for Outlook from outlook.

Whenever I click the Add-in from outlook, I get an error message link "Error loading control". When I click on the link, I see the error message as Object doesn't support property or method 'forEach'. I have attached the screen shot and the log details.

I am not able to find any helpful articles regarding the issue. Please suggest any thoughts on this.

    Hello Preetam,

This is an Internet Explorer limitation. As IE is an older browser, it cannot handle specific javascript as well as newer browsers. So you could tackle this in two ways:

    1. Remove any custom javascript that you may have that isn't supported with IE

    2. Upgrade your Outlook and Windows versions to the below:

App for Outlook uses Microsoft Edge browser when you are using Windows 10 (version 1903 or later) OS and Outlook Click-2-Run client that’s updated to the current channel, Monthly Enterprise channel, or Semi-annual Enterprise channel (16.0.13127.20508 or later). For other combination of Windows and Outlook, App for Outlook uses Microsoft Internet Explorer browser.

If you upgrade outlook and windows to the above versions, then the app for outlook will leverage Edge Browser instead of ie.

    Thanks,

    Tyson

Or another thing: you can modify the script to use ES5 syntax

    Hi Community

I am experiencing the same issue but only on the local Outlook application on Windows 10, the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook in OWA continues to works well. See screenshots below. Note that the default browser in Windows 10 is Edge. I noticed the issue after updating the local Outlook app.

This must be related to the default browser used by the Dynamics 365 App for Outlook and the code in 10.js/app.js which the Dynamics/PowerApps team might would like to have a look into...

Any suggestion/idea how we could resolve this issue?

    For the moment, using OWA...

    Thank you in advance,

    CEPJC

By the way... The 'Relevance Search' layout is also acting strange... It seem that the search box and button are collapsed in the layout.

You have to expand the add-in window (in the Local Outlook App) to be able to see the search box and button/filters. Unfortunately in the OWA, that is not possible.

It would be great if someone from Microsoft could have look into these issues, and fix them.

    Thanks,
