I work for a Dynamics partner, creating CRM systems for a number of different clients, and a lot of them are now using the Unified Interface.
One thing that's really frustrating is that you're unable to change the Field Label Width on forms. The illusion of the functionality is there - you can change the setting in the normal Form Editor, but it only affects forms in the classic interface and doesn't change the Label Width at all in the New Interface form. Even on the new "PowerApps" interface, the "Formatting" area on a field that you click on on the form it says "Field Width" but it's greyed out and unclickable - giving the impression that they know it's there but haven't built in the ability to change it yet in the new interface.
This seems like SUCH a simple thing for them to do and add...
Does anyone know if this will be coming in the October release? I've had a look at the Release Plan and can't see anything about it...
Hello Mike,
I don't think it's part of the Release Wave 2 of 2019, so not coming this October.
You can check what's coming by enabling the Early Access on your environment, in the Power Platform Admin Center.
I will pass on your feedback on this to the product team - however I have doubts that fixed width are compatible with responsive design principles. Say tuned!
Henry
