Is there a way to update only a few fields without changing /swiping any other fields through data import export framework?

Hi All,

I am trying to upload a csv file with new confirmation dates on Purchase order lines. I am using the standard entities and my csv file just has purch id, line number, and new confirmation date. When I execute the import, The confirmation date is updated, however, the line details are erased. Is there a way to only update the required fields using Data import export framework in ax 2012 R3?

Export the existing purchase order lines first to a csv file. Then, update the confirmation dates in that file and import the file again.
