Hi experts,

How does license pricing on D365 On-premises works?

I've checked a licensing guide (not sure if I'm allowed to post it here) showing there are three types of licensing: Monthly Subscription/Annual License & Software Assurance/Annual Software Assurance. Does that mean I can buy an ''Annual License & Software Assurance'' and use the D365 On-premises for one year? What will happen if I don't buy the Annual Software Assurance the next year?
