"Show chart" icon missing from toolbar

Hi everyone

Has anyone recently encountered an issue with the 'show chart' icon missing from a user's toolbar? We're using Dynamics 365 online and the user has the correct security role. They were able to see the icon about three weeks ago.

Ordinarily we'd expect to see 'Show Chart' between Focused View and + New on the below screenshot.

Have there been any recent updates which might be affecting this? I've tried searching on here but I can't find anything.

Many thanks
Jan

Good morning, evening, or afternoon :) depending on your location!
    Hope you are well today!

Potential causes / troubleshooting steps (apologies if you've already tried these):
    • the user may have inadvertently customized their toolbar or view (ask them to reset their personalization settings)
      • Settings > Personalization Setting > Select Reset to Default
    • You mentioned user has correct role, double check the role includes access to "Show Chart" functionality (sometimes after updates, permissions can be altered)
    • unified interface customizations - if customized, show chart may have been hidden or removed
    • check the latest updates: What's new in Dynamics 365 Contact Center | Microsoft Learn

    Hope this helps some!

We had something similar going on in our CRM; it was triggered by the new natural search function based on Copilot, and a setting in Edge. If you are using Edge it might explain it.

Have a look in this thread, I've written the cause and solution: https://community.dynamics.com/forums/thread/details/?threadid=c850639a-acf8-ef11-be20-7c1e520dbb77

    Hi Jonas Jones Melgaard

Thanks very much for your response. My colleague is using Chrome and there's no equivalent setting.

    Thanks.
I need to have a play with Chrome in our environment. It's a bit odd

    Hi Again,
I just had another play, and it's due to Copilot. Unless I'm mistaken and you don't have the natural search bar like in my example.

If you install the unofficial Bing Sidebar for Chrome from the app store, it works.
I won't link to it, since it's unsupported by Microsoft.

So it's either use Edge with the settings enabled, install the unofficial and unsupported Copilot extension, or disable Copilot natural search in the environment.
