App for Outlook - No pin shown

Hi guys

We have a deployment in place and we have the App successfully deployed into Outlook but the pin is not showing up in the App and I'm not sure why. The clients are all Windows 10 and all have Office 2016 installed (Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2016) but the app does not show the pin. We've removed the app via Outlook web access and then redeployed but the pin still does not appear.

Anyone any ideas what we could try next or hat could be causing this issue? The pin appears in Outlook web access no problems so we know it's working okay just not in the full version of Outlook which is causing a little confusion and frustration to users.

    Hi Srihari

    Thanx again for this. Just seen this now at the top of the Deploy D365 App for Outlook. Not sure why I never noticed this before tbh.

    So 've had a look a the link in the page and I'll need to go back to the client and ask them about this as it's a university and we don't look after the IT (we're merely the Dynamics Admin for about a dozen or so users). I can see there are some updates required for the MSI version (as they will be using this since there is no Office Updates section when we view the Product Info. We normally control everything and only use the C2R versions as the user base is smaller and easily managed.

    Thanx for the tip and hopefully we'll manage to get this sorted.

    Hi Steven,

    The prerequisites for pinning to be available are you are using C2R version of Outlook 2016 build 7668.2000 or later.
