Trial balance report creation

Posted on by
After creating a saved report in order to run a specific trial balance daily, is there a log file or anything created in order to tell who has deleted the saved report?

After creating a report, it always /mysteriously/ disappears a few hours later and I'm really suspecting that someone is going in behind me and just deleting the report I created.

Thanks for any and all help

If the saved report you are referring to is the file output generated by the report, you would need to ask your network administrator to help with file share location permissions.

If you are referring to a Report Option that is stored in GP, having it disappear would be unusual.  (If you have field-level security or a GP add-in for auditing, you could probably capture/control the process.)

Report Option windows can be tricky.  When modifying an existing option, i try to select to (A) Modify so that it (B) defaults into the Report Options window.  (For a new option, I click the New button so that the Report Options window opens without an Option name populated.)  What I try to avoid is changing the name of the Option in the Report Options window without first clicking Clear.

There is a chance that the table/report options are damaged and GP maintenance may help clean up the Report Options table.
