Price groups for Cost price (expense) in PMA module

Hello,

How do price groups get applied to expense cost prices when defined in the PMA module?  I have assigned the price group accordingly and the system is not recognizing the corresponding cost price defined.  The sales price pulls through properly, but the cost does not.  Is there an additional step involved with price groups so they apply to the cost prices?

    Hi,
In the Project management and accounting module, price groups can be used for both sales prices and cost prices, but they behave slightly differently. If your sales price is pulling through correctly based on the price group, but the cost price isn’t, here are a few things to check:

Cost price setup: Go to Project management and accounting > Setup > Prices > Cost prices and make sure:
    • The price group is correctly assigned.
    • The category and worker/vendor match the transaction.
    • The valid date range includes the transaction date.
    • The project type is relevant (some prices are project-type specific).
Check category group setup: Ensure the category used is part of a category group that allows cost pricing and is properly linked to the project category.

Let me know if this helps,
    Regards,
    Zain

All those configurations have been validated.  I even created a cost price line with only the price group defined (no category) so the expense would pull that rate, and it will not update.  The project type I'm testing this for is time & materials.

Category group isn't relevant since I'm testing this at the price group level, but where would you indicate in the category group that it allows cost pricing?

Could it be related to the customer setup in any way?

I tested the price group functionality for cost price-hour when posting a journal, and it worked as expected. However, it doesn't appear to function properly for the expense type. Could this be a bug?
