where is Settings area gone from Dynamics 365 CE trials

Posted on by 470

I have signed up for a trial this month when I was able to access CE app with the Settings module only via Admin Centre and clicking on the instance. Today, when doing the same I get a Sales App no Settings module, also when clicking on the custom app which used to open all of the modules, I also only get a sales app without settings, which means I can't customise the trial or import a solution

Does anyone else experience the same or knows what is going on?

thanks,

Martyna

    Hi partner,

First of all, does your permission is global administrator?

1.If so, you could go to office 365 admin center and check if your license has been expired.

2.Go to office 365 and click on "Dynamics 365" to enter the home page and check what the apps you currently have.

    Hi MMartyna,

I tested it in my trial environment and didn't have this problem.

    • Here's how I found the Settings module:

In the Microsoft 365 admin center, choose Dynamics 365 from the left-side menu, you could access Dynamics 365 Administration Center. Then click the Open button for the trial instance to enter the trial instance.

We will see Settings > My Apps. Click on the app called Dynamic 365 - custom, this app has the Settings module.

Be careful not to enter "Dynamic 365 - custom" App by clicking on the sidebar. If you enter the App from the sidebar, the App is not the web client App, so it does not have Settings module.

Could you see Settings in this way?

    • If not, please try this way:

Click the Settings button in the top right corner, then click Advanced Settings. This way we will go directly to the Settings module.

    Hope this helps.
