Hello, everyone!

I'm refering to this question https://community.dynamics.com/ax/f/33/t/216533. It was a year ago and I didn't find the answer to it.

So, is it possible to run DEV or BUILD environment in in docker container?

    Hi Eugene,

    Development and Build machines are pre-configured and can be used on Azure or using Hyper-V only.

    What would be the advantage to have it in a docker container?

    The advantage of using docker, in theory, is in disk space and machine resources economy.

    I would say anything is possible but it sure isn't supported :-)

    I'm not saying you should do it, but if you would, theoretically, you could probably use the standard MSFT IIS container image. Combine some on-prem installation instructions with the binaries you have on an existing VM and you might be able to get something going...
