Calculating Low-Level codes for items with Stockkeeping Units

Hello,
 
I am configuring a manufacturing system where each item has a lot of variants. Each variant requires a different production BOM. Is there a way to calculate the item Low-Level codes in this scenario. The standard routine for this doesn't work in this instance.
 
I can confirm that when I manually set the low-level codes I can get the planning worksheet to operate correctly.
